Our footprint spans multiple commodities. The largest share of installations to date sits in the almond sector, where multiple machines are operational at AMANTECO — a full suite including Qcify AIR units, Qcify EYE units, and a Qcify HUB. AMANTECO is also one of the first processors in the world to adopt our latest Pack2Spec™ feature, and the results have been exceptional. On macadamia, we have machines running across three different customers — Mac Masters International, Green Farms Nut Company, and a third partner — making it our most broadly distributed commodity in South Africa in terms of geographical region. And now, we are actively expanding into two new categories: raisins and pecans — each presenting a significant opportunity for processors ready to modernize their sorting operations.

A Committed Presence, Not Just a Machine Provider
What sets Qcify apart in South Africa is not just the technology — it is the commitment of our team to be genuinely present in the country.Despite being headquartered in Belgium and the United States, between our sales and applications teams collectively we cover South Africa for approximately seven to nine times a year, with visits spread across different periods of the calendar. This means we are committed to ensuring the machines are properly functional and that we are always reachable to South African Customers, either via WhatsApp, email, or a phone call, day or night.
This level of accessibility has earned us a reputation as a company that feels local — even without a physical office in the country. Our machines are connected to the internet, allowing our team in Belgium to push software updates and model improvements remotely, often without any disruption to production. When mechanical parts are needed, we either ship it from Belgium or source it locally. They can be installed by the customer's own engineers, given the machine's simplicity, or with remote assistance. For software issues, our teams in Belgium and the United States can assist remotely, regardless of time zone.
Raisins: Bringing Precision Sorting to a Demanding Market
South Africa's raisin industry operates across the full processing chain — from the intake of dried grapes right through to the final packaged raisin — and this creates a demanding environment with a wide range of foreign material challenges. Cap stems (known in the industry as EMS), embedded stones, sticks, and plastics are among the most common defects processors need to remove.Qcify and Insort support raisin producers and packers with sorting solutions like the Qcify AIR, Qcify EYE and the Insort Hypernova — covering both the high-throughput intake stages and the cleaner end-of-line final sort, where hand sorting is still surprisingly common in South African facilities.
Raisins flow well through our Qcify AIR platform, the machine design ensures no clusters in front of cameras, and the double-sided 4K camera system and LED lights are well-suited to detecting the embedded and surface defects that define quality in this category across any raisin variety. We are now actively bringing this capability to South African raisin processors.
Macadamias: A Proven Track Record
Macadamia has been the anchor of our South African story. At Mac Masters International, a Qcify EYE is installed on the macadamia processing line — an incredible facility with a team that truly understands the value of inline quality data. At Green Farms Nut Company, a Qcify 360 is up and running in their QC lab — a world-class macadamia operation that sets the standard for what data-driven quality control looks like in this industry.Across these customers, our AI model is shaped by real South African products and real South African defects, and a collective dataset that makes every machine on the network smarter with every run. Whether it is shell pieces, insect damage, color variation, or foreign material, our systems have been trained on the defect profile that South African macadamia processors deal with every day.
Pecans: The Next Frontier
South Africa accounts for a growing share of global pecan supply, and the country accounts for 9.9% of global pecan kernel production. With at least 8 major processors in the country — the majority focused on kernel processing — there is a clear and growing need for reliable, high-capacity automated sorting to replace or complement the hand-picking lines that remain common across the industry.The Qcify AIR, with its 2–3 metric tons per hour sorting capacity, compact footprint, and AI-powered defect detection, is purpose-built for this kind of end-of-line application. We are now targeting the South African pecan market, and we are doing so with the advantage of already being a known, trusted presence in the country.
